Kandace has been a part of the Wymsee content team since the end of August. Wymsee is her ideal workplace, as it fuses all of her interests and prior work experience. Kandace was raised in southern California and always had her heart set on working within the fashion industry. As a child, she kept sketch books of head-to-toe original creations, to which she even assigned prices prices (discounts for buying the entire look, of course). Her LA weekends are filled with hikes, DIY project, or concerts, and she enjoys television, film, along with costume and fashion design. She attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles, where she double majored in Merchandise Product Development and Business Management. During her four years in college, she worked at Urban Outfitters as a Studio Liaison assisting buyers for TV characters. After graduation, Kandace moved to Boston and worked as a Merchandise Coordinator, however, after two years of digging her car (and herself) out of snow, she moved back to sunny California. Kandace was able to gain valuable experience in both retail and wholesale after moving back to L.A. She worked as an assistant buyer and then had the opportunity to travel as a trade show manager and account executive for a Los-Angeles based clothing brand. Recently, Kandace was able to find an ideal career when she was introduced to Emily, Wymsee’s Director of Content, who described a career opening which blended entertainment, tech, and fashion. She works everyday to provide creative, original content for Wymsee.com in order to highlight the accomplishments of costume designers for film and tv.
